How it works:
- Register for summer reading by signing up at the checkout desk. When you register you will receive a summer reading door hanger and your reading log for level 1.
- Cross out a dino egg on the reading log for every ten minutes you read. Reading time includes being read to, reading to someone, audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines, recipes, emails, etc. All reading counts!
- Once you have crossed out all the dino eggs on your first reading log, return the Level 1 reading log to receive your first reward which is a summer coupon pack and your Level 2 reading log.
- On your Level 2 reading log, cross out a dino egg for every ten minutes you read.
- Once you have completed your Level 2 reading log, return it to the library to receive your second reward and your last reading log. The second reward is a FREE book from our Summer Reading Prize shelf and a dino egg to fill your name in to be added to our checkout desk.
- On your Level 3 reading log, cross out a dino egg for every ten minutes that you read.
- Once you crossed out your dino eggs on Level 3 reading log, return it to the library to receive your Golden Ticket for the Summer Reading Campout. The Campout will take place on Saturday, August 29- Sunday, August 30 on the library grounds. You will also receive one raffle ticket for the end of Summer Reading Prize Drawings and a dinosaur to fill your name to be added to our checkout desk.
- We do encourage participants to continue reading after they complete Level 3 however there will not be additional raffle entry tickets this year.

Summer Reading Campout
Campout it taking place at the library grounds on Saturday, August 29 (starting at 5pm)- Sunday, August 30 (ending at 11am.) Campers are responsible for bringing their own camping gear. Activities for the campout include bounce houses, an outdoor movie, a flashlight story walk, crafts and games.
Adults are responsible for supervising their children.
The library will provide an evening snack and drinks, as well as a “decorate-your-own-donut” bar in the morning.
Upon receiving your golden ticket for the campout, ensure enough supplies and food, please RSVP to the library with the number of participants attending the party no later than August 22 to ensure enough food and supplies.
